Four Man - 6+6+6 SWITCH PARTNERS  This format is a 4-man team event.  The unique feature is that all four players switch partners every 6 holes.  Example:  (Player A + Player B) & (Player C + Player D) are partners on holes 1 thru 6.  The holes 7 thru 12 (Partners = A & C plus B & D).  Holes 13 thru 18 (Partners = A & D plus B & C).  Scoring on this format is a 2 man (1 Best Ball).  The addition of the 2 Best Ball nets = the teams Total Net Score on each hole.  Got it?  The scorecards should be color coded to highlight partnerships.

Four Man Shamble - A shamble starts off just like a scramble: the members of each team (usually four players per team) tee off, and the best drive is selected. After the best drive is selected, all players play from that spot, continue playing their own ball, stroke-play style, until each has holed out, producing four individual scores. MUST USE THREE (3) DRIVES PER PLAYER PER 18 HOLES.

ECLECTIC Gross/Net Flighted: Participants play 2 rounds, and compare their scores on each hole per round. The lowest score made on each hole is recorded, producing an 18-hole score. Example: There are TWO rounds; in Round 1, the golfer makes a 4 on hole No. 1; in Round 2, a 6 on hole No. 1. That golfer's score for the first hole is a 4. Basically, improve your score on second day.

NASSAU: The Nassau is one of the most popular golf tournament formats and golf bets. It's essentially three tournaments (or bets) in one: the front nine, back nine and 18-hole scores all count as separate tournaments or bets. In a Nassau tournament, the player (or team) winning the front nine wins a prize, the player (or team) winning the back nine gets a prize, and the player or team with the low 18-hole total wins a prize.

4-MAN CHA CHA CHA: Each member of the team plays his or her ball throughout. But a 3-hole rotation exists for determining how many scores are used to create the team score. On the first hole (cha), the one low ball counts as the team score. On the second hole (cha cha), the two low balls count as the team score. On the third hole (cha cha cha), the three low balls count as the team score. The rotation starts over on the fourth hole.

PINEHURST: In the Pinehurst System, both players tee off, then they switch balls. Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa. Each player hits the second shot. They then select the best of the second shots, and from that point until the ball is holed they play only one ball in an alternate shot format. Got it?  The player whose second ball was not chosen gets to play the third shot (so teams might sometimes choose the best ball after two shots based on who will get to hit the third).

ABCD/ALTERNATE TEES - ABCD players are distributed across teams according to their current index (Lowest A, Highest B, Lowest C and Highest D). Teams will alternate teeing off from the Blue, Gold, White tees. The sequence is as follows: #1 (B), #2 (G), #3 (W), #4 (B), #5 (G), #6 (W), #7 (B), #8 (G), #9 (W), #10 (B), #11 (G), #12 (W), #13 (B), #14 (G), #15 (W), #16 (B), #17 (G), #18 (W). The best three individual net scores on Par 5's, best two net scores on Par 4's and best single net score on Par 3's will be used to compute the team score for each hole. Only net team totals will be used for payouts.

Stableford is a scoring system in golf which, rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. The objective in Stableford, therefore, is to have the highest score – unlike traditional scoring methods.
